Business Society Acknowledgement to Achema AB 2008.12.22 On 18th December, Achema AB was conferred two prestigious awards of the national business society, i.e. silver medal for the "Lithuanian Product of the Year 2008" and title of "Successfully Operating Company". Respectable 79 gold and 31 silver medals for the "Lithuanian Product of the Year 2008" were awarded by Valdas Adamkus, President of the Republic of Lithuania, and dr. Bronislovas Lubys, President of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists, to 110 nominees of products/services including Achema AB. "Melamine-modified urea formaldehyde (MUF) resin 1/2 E1 produced by our company and awarded a silver medal is a promising product, says Jonas Sirvydis, CEO of Achema AB. We are proud having a possibility to contribute to the main goal of this competition, i.e. enhancement of competitiveness of high-quality Lithuanian production through development of national business." National business leaders were awarded at the festive event of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists, where Chairman of the Seimas, members of the Seimas and ministers of the Republic of Lithuania took part as well as ambassadors of foreign countries, owners and managers of industrial and business companies participated. Among 40 Lithuanian companies with good operation results of this year, the nomination "Successfully Operating Company 2008" was awarded to Achema AB appreciated for annual scopes of production and services, for profitability, investments into production, export, labour productivity indicators, etc. In 2008, Achema AB was already awarded the nomination "The Most Environment-Friendly Product" of the competition "Environmental Achievements", acknowledged the "2007 Lithuanian Exporter of the Year", whereas accomplishments of the company were respected by the award "Innovative Product" of the Chamber of Commerce and Crafts, etc. |
